Do you want to work where technology, innovation, events and communities meet? Do you enjoy taking marketing and communications to the next level, and are you a natural organiser who likes to roll up your sleeves? Then we'd love to hear from you.
Ecosystem Services brings together companies, governments, knowledge institutions and innovators around the latest technological and societal developments. We build communities, develop new collaborations and organise programmes and events in the Netherlands and abroad.
We do this through NL@MWC, our Dutch community around Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, PRIMMA, which focuses on private 4G/5G networks and smart logistics, and a range of other projects and ecosystems.
For these activities, we are looking for someone who will further professionalise and manage our marketing and communications, while also helping to organise our events.
What you'll do
As Communications & Events Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day marketing and communications of Ecosystem Services. This includes:
- Creating and managing the content calendar.
- Actively gathering information from colleagues, partners and participants, and turning it into relevant content.
- Developing and creating content for Ecosystem Services, NL@MWC, PRIMMA and other projects, including LinkedIn posts, interviews, news items, articles, newsletters and event reports.
- Maintaining and updating the website.
- Coordinating event communications from start to finish, including Eventbrite pages, registrations, invitations and reminders, as well as content during and after each event.
- Seizing content opportunities at events, such as photos, quotes, interviews, highlights and stories.
The role focuses primarily on marketing and communications. We're a small, entrepreneurial and hands-on team that works closely together and supports one another whenever needed. This means that, from time to time, you may take on tasks outside your usual responsibilities. In return, you can count on the same flexibility and support from your colleagues.
Alongside your marketing and communications responsibilities, you'll also play an active role in organising our events, for example:
- Planning and preparing events, from communications to supporting the practical organisation.
- Sending invitations and managing registrations and attendee lists.
- Supporting the team during events, from welcoming guests and preparing materials to coordinating practical arrangements and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who takes initiative and turns ideas into action.
- You see what needs to be done, think ahead and make sure everything is arranged on time. For example, you can independently develop a communications plan for an event, gather the necessary information and prepare the content.
- You keep the overview, bring structure and feel at home in an entrepreneurial environment where there's room for your own ideas and improvements.
- You have excellent writing skills in Dutch and English, understand B2B communication and LinkedIn, and know how to make complex topics accessible and engaging.
- Experience in marketing, communications, technology or events is a plus. Above all, we value curiosity, initiative and the drive to grow together with us.
What we offer
At Ecosystem Services, you'll work on several projects at once, connect with interesting companies, government organisations, entrepreneurs and innovators, and play an active role in organising (international) events. We offer:
- A role of 24 to 40 hours per week.
- Plenty of independence and responsibility.
- Flexibility in how and where you work.
- A small, committed team with short lines of communication.
- Lots of room for your own ideas and initiative.
- A varied mix of Dutch and international projects.
- The opportunity to grow with Ecosystem Services and our communities.
